The check out line

Well to say the least.. Urban Dictionary makes my day sometimes.. looking up random definitions of common and uncommon words I came across this:

Twitterpated:
An enjoyable disorder characterized by feelings of excitement, anticipation, high hopes, recent memories of interludes, giddiness, and physical overstimulation which occur simultaneously when experiencing a new love. These feelings take over without warning, usually at odd times (such as at a check-out line), with or without the partner present, and make it difficult to concentrate on anything but romance. They interfere with work and safe driving, but should be experienced at least once in every person's lifetime.

I must say my favourite part is where it talks about the check out line..
and it got me thinking.

There are many many many of those "check out line" moments. In our everyday life we go through the motions not realizing that it's those moments where we are in the check out line, filling up our car, walking the busy streets of a bustling city, and many more, that at those moments when so many things are going on around us it can be a moment in which we really soul search or think deeply upon something.  There is so much power in the ability to just think when so much is going on around you, then take those thoughts and then find that place whether literally or within oneself that is peaceful and that you can really just submerge yourself in the thought.

We all have those moments in our lives that we don't say a word, we keep on doing our daily tasks, yet we are thoughtful. I personally love having those "thoughtful days", as I would like to call them, because it's those days where silence is what's shown but so much careful and real thought is going on. Then, at the end of the day you are truly exhausted..not from labouring all day but from so much thought being pushed through your mind. It's kind of invigorating to have those days every once in a while to just think, let silence overcome you, and emerge with new perspectives and thoughts.

All that from the urban dictionary's definition of twitterpated :)

So that's what you think

So that's what you think when I say that..
I never would have guessed.
So that's what you say when I'm not around..
how very interesting indeed.
So that's what you think when you say that.
Well that's what I think when you say that.
That's what I know when you don't say anything.

And that's all I hear.. But I know so much more.

Well yes... I do love drawing on myself with sharpies!

Well yes... I do love drawing on myself with sharpies! How did you know.
Oh it is probably because every few days i have a new piece of artwork on my arm.. or my leg...
or everywhere!
It doesn't help that i have over 30 different colors of sharpies..
i love it :)
am i the best artist out there?
no... not even CLOSE
but i do love to see what crazy things I can come up with.
Lately I have been obsessed with arrows, fading, and music clefs. Ah the options are endless..
LITERALLY
no one piece of artwork is the same.
and that is what keeps me coming back to drawing on myself with sharpies.
Yes it might also help that I enjoy the feeling of the pen gliding on my skin but hey...what can you do?
Keep drawing! maybe i'll post pics soon...but if i do you must promise not to judge my artistic abilities!

Once a Day We Meet Ourselves

Once a day we meet ourselves, or if we're lucky, sometimes more. Ourselves we meet in many ways that we would never guess. For some a look in the mirror is all it takes for them to meet themselves. But maybe for you, you meet yourself as you return a hello that was passed by your way. Fir the man down the street, he met himself in a song on his way to work. while a woman halfway across the world meets herself in the heartbeat of the newborn in her arms. meeting yourself never is planned, it just merely is brought to light in that moment where it's needed. meeting yourself means meeting the real you and for that moment embracing the moment and soaking it all up. the moment will fade with time, but although it fades it will never be lost. You'll meet yourself again again, of that I'm sure. Though you'll never quite know when. All I advise, when that moment comes, is love it. Love you.

What if it was gone in an instant?

There is that one thing that you can't live without. It literally is the reason you breathe. It is the reason you get up in the morning no matter what the circumstances may be. You hold on to that thing like it's the last part of you, the only part of you, because it is. Without that thing in your life you lose everything you ever knew. Your life would be whisked away. Now think for a moment..what if it was gone in an instant? In the blink of an eye it was gone forever. Everything you ever knew was gone. The whole of you is gone. You are just a piece in the wind. What if it was gone in an instant.. what would you be? It is your worst nightmare yet it happened in the blink of an eye. That whole of you that you depend upon...what if it was gone in an instant...

Loving those moments

I'm loving those little moments that you don't realize exist until you take time to stop.
Some of the moments i'm loving are as follows (I know it's not poetic to just write a list. But why write about something to make it more beautiful when it speaks beauty for itself):

  • That moment when the warm shower water first hits your shoulders
  • Those days when your hair works just right
  • When the sunlight makes your everyday drive the best scenic route around
  • When you feel like your best self
  • When you can't help but have a skip in your step
  • Those days when your handwriting in THE BEST!
  • When your in that perfect, thoughtfully, quiet mood
  • When the perfect wind flies by
  • When you feel like you could take a step and fly away
  • When you find a lucky penny
  • When you drive up to your house and your lawn is so lush and green
  • When your eyes are the colour you always wanted them to be
  • When that one person says what you thought they never would
  • That one random compliment makes your whole day.
  • When you feel invincible
  • When the kayboard is extra "clicky"
  • When you find the perfect wishing chip
  • When you hit every green light
  • When you see a happy old couple
  • When you can magically sing like an angel (even if it's in the shower)
  • When you close that fantastic book you just finished reading
  • That moment when you lay your head on your cold pillow for the night
  • Or even better when you stretch across your cold sheets
  • Those perfect sighs that scream content

I could go on forever. Find beauty in all things. You won't regret it.

Renewal of Happiness

It wasn't till that moment when I stepped into the rain that life filled my soul and I knew what happiness was. Not only did I step into happiness. I rolled in happiness. I loved every drop of it. And yes others stared because they did not understand. But why should they understand. It was my moment. My moment and my moment alone. But then that moment was gone. I was not afraid of it leaving because it's essence stayed with me. It came and went through time but each time it rained that same happiness was yet again renewed. Total renewal of happiness comes far and few between. Today I had my moment. Though many were by me, I was alone with my self. In my moment. Dancing, singing, jumping, rolling in the rain. soaking up every bit of happiness. letting it drip of my eyelashes. Feeling the renewal of happiness I had been craving for months. It was time. It came and is making it's mark till it must move on. But it will not be forgotten.
